Thanks for thinking of me. The root canal itself was not bad at all. It just sounds so bad, doesn't it? And when you mention root canal, people wince. I'm one of the people who wince. Maybe this is a holdover from the olden days when they didn't use a shit ton of painkilling stuff. I would have felt the same way you do, though, to be told you need a root canal with no pain whatsoever...

I think we're planning on leaving for MI on the 20th and then we'll come back on Jan 2. Pretty long trip, huh? Mike's sister Jenny and her family will be in town, too, so we wanted to be sure to have plenty of time for everyone. Maybe we could crash with you either on the way up or on the way back?... Whichever day is better for you, just let us know. We always enjoy our stay at Chez Elliot. The other time, we'll just get a hotel-- that's something we all look forward to now and then. And for sure we wanna hang when we're up in MI. You got many plans yet?

Oh yeah, and CONGRATULATIONS! I think I missed the boat on that before. How exciting to be adding to your sweet little family! So great. :D
