Jupiter-gazing

Last night was free admittance to the Franklin Institute, so Johnny and I were on it. It was fucking freezing, but the sky was incredibly clear and we were able to see Jupiter and 4 of its moons from the roof Observatory and also the Earth's moon in intense detail. I was blown away. We also had some fun with electricity, lighting up the radio signal wall with our cell phones and lighting LEDs by closing the circuit with a kiss. We're so precious/disgusting.

It was a blast! Tonight I'm attending a feminist/transgender reading at the Writer's House. Mostly because I'm interested, but partly for extra credit. I've also started working out more regularly because I'd like to run a 4-5 mile race with Johnny before he does the 10 mile Broad Street Run in May. I'm doing bootcamp Mondays and Wednesdays (unless we're doing super cute museum dates on Wednesday-- next Wednesday is free PMA) and running the other days. I've decided to start exercising in the morning so it doesn't eat into our hang-out time. I always feel like my mornings are wasted anyway, since I spend 40 minutes walking to my apartment and then to work.

Despite it being a difficult quarter for money (medical bills, student loans, and tax deficits), I'm thinking of getting a bike. I'm sure my 20 minute walks would be 5 minute bike rides.

Spring Break is coming up. Thank Jeebus. It's not much of a break since I work anyway, but I have to write a couple of poems for the next class and I sure could use a little time to work on them. It's gonna be great; I haven't written a poem in a decade.
