Dear Cyberspace,
I think it's about time that we did some catching up. I've been so busy lately that it was impossible to be online, much less writing for minutes on end. However, this morning I got up very early because I had somewhere to be, then decided to cancel because of what I consider to be a family emergency. I can't tell you what this emergency is, but I think you'd agree that in my position you'd be worried and stay home, too. I'm going to have to leave eventually, because I have an interview at 10, but I'm hoping to be de-worried by then.
Well, last time I wrote I told you that being home was weird. And it is. For maternal-boyfriend issues. But beside that it's been great. I love my family. That first weekend I was fed like a baby bird [as my brother would say] and it was good times. I'm glad to see I was missed. Then, for the rest of the week I had to babysit a 4-month-old, which wasn't as bad as it could have been. I kept staying out late, so it was hard to get up at 6 every morning, but hey, whatever pays your CIP fees.
Then Karina took me to San Francisco to first check out an apartment in Redwood for her and then to enjoy the wharf. I missed Lexi so much that I had to go spend some quality time with her overnight. <3 Public transportation with a big duffel bag is silly, but not unmanageable. Then Santa Cruz! I can't wait for Joey to come home!
Now I'm just looking for a job. Any job will do. Any pay. As long as there are long hours. I really need to start raking in the dough. How else will I afford gas at 3.50 all summer?
Well, that's it for now. Besides the obvious fact that I'm way excited to be spending so much time with all of my loved ones, I really do miss my Cornell batches. :(
