The Wonderful Thing About Tiggers
Well, last night I was beyond exhausted, so I was out cold by 11pm. Maybe even 10:30. Either way, I slept for about 12 hours. This is not extremely unusual for me when it comes to school breaks, but it is unusual when you consider the fact that I had terrible nightmares all night long. They were so awful that when I woke up I was biting the tip of my tongue in fear. The point of this entry was to complain that the tip of my tongue is still swollen and painful from a night of fear-biting. I'm just glad I didn't grind my teeth.
Well, I vividly recalled all of my dreams when I woke up because I was still terrified that the bad guy was hiding somewhere in the darkness of my room, but after a day of Fruits Basket [anime] and statistics review, I've lost a lot of the detail. And much of the plot. All I know is that Joey and I were being followed by a monster that was shaped kind of square like Spongebob, but with the coloring of a headless Tigger. Now, looks were not the most frightening aspects of this monster. He was scary because his presence brought darkness, so after sunset or indoors, we couldn't tell if the lights were off or if he was nearby until we flipped the switch. If nothing happened, it meant that we had only a few seconds to get as far away as we could into a well-lit area. Even in the daytime, clouds followed him around to create storm-like darkness on an otherwise clear day.
Joey got away and the monster was chasing me through the Gothics, so I ran outside into the night and ended up in my backyard at home. I was almost out of the gate, when he [who now no longer looked monstrous, but only serial-killer-ly] began to climb the window side of my house and saw my reflection in one of the windows. He jumped down and the chase was on through a horrible wood. I have rarely been so frightened in my life.
Eventually day broke and I was relatively safe for a time, so I decided to meet my friends for lunch at a restaurant that served only potatoes prepared in different ways. Suddenly the restaurant went dark and I panicked myself awake.
