I can touch the tip of my tongue to the tip of my nose.
I never could before, but I guess I just hadn't tried hard enough.
I really need to focus. But it's 2am and I'm overly-caffinated.
I've been trying to read, but have ended up doing things like this.
I broke a nail today, so I had to cut them all and now I can type, open doors, open soda cans, dial phone numbers, hold a pencil, take out my contacts... all kinds of things I couldn't do for months.
I put together a rough schedule for next semester because CoursEnroll will be soon after Fall Break. I think it could work, as long as I don't take French. I can meet all my distribution requirements AND take a writing workshop AND a gym class for only 19 credits. Not bad. LOL. That's still a lot of credits, though! When the minimum is 12 and the maximum is 22, 19 is a hefty sum. I could, conceivably take one more class, but that would be just another suicide to add to Cornell's list. [Sorry, I know that's a terrible thing to joke about, but it's like I have Cornell-Suicide-Tourette's Syndrome.]
Fall Break is coming up SOOO SOON. I can't wait. Unfortunately, most of my assignments are due before that, but that's ok. I hope to get all my study abroad stuff done during those couple of days off. I'm so excited about Study Abroad, I find it hard to concentrate on anything else. Instead of studying for my International Relations prelim [which I am pre-destined to fail] I put together a rough schedule for my year at Queen Mary's.... assuming I get in. I want to take 1 Beowulf class for my concentration, 1 year of Latin, 1 year of French, and 1 class about London in literature vs. London in real life [with walking tours!]. That would be just for fun, though. Kind of a hard class "for fun".
WOW. I can't get over how quickly time goes by. I'm only a sophomore in college, but I've planned out my life through graduation. I feel like it's right around the corner! I mean, CoursEnroll for Spring semester is so soon, then when Spring semester is over, the summer, then I'll be gone for 9 months, then summer again, and then I'm a Senior, then I graduate, then I'm an adult in the real world: broke, alone, homeless, clueless- dodging my student loans officer...
I guess I'm just rambling because of the coffee and my pressing need to avoid IR readings. This one is actually interesting, yet I still find myself taking a break every couple of pages. Yes, COUPLE. I read 2 pages, take 20 minutes off, and so on. At this rate, I'll be lucky if I finish by dawn. If not, I'll just go buy another coffee, shower, and head straight to class. I've never pulled an academic all-nighter, but tonight is as good a night as any other.
Just kidding. Whatever I don't finish I'll read tomorrow afternoon in the library.
Goodnight, kiddos.
