Perhaps we had better start from the beginning

I'll cut to today and not give the background. My old boss, Jeremy, lost his legs in a car accident. Turns out it happened in late 2005. I found out today, when our other manager friend, Megen, sent me his blog. It was so unsettling to see this grown man, who I'd worked with, drank with, and had life-changing experiences with in that picture. Standing there, on metal legs.

When Meg contacted me first last week, he ran through my mind since he and I were considerably closer than she and I had ever been. Next thing you know, she tells me about him. I'm just totally taken in so many directions by seeing him like this. Sad, upset, proud and happy to see him happy and looking on the bright side as always. Even thought he's no longer in my life and not close enough to hit home to see him like this, it still is unsettling.

In other news, got back from Indy Sunday night. I missed E like a mofo. The trip back home had more of an impact than anyone would realize from talking to me. Mainly, it reminded me that people are utterly selfish, and regardless of how much respect you think they may have for you, care only for their happiness. Without going into detail since it's my reminder lesson, I am changing the way I go about dealing with specific people. I thought that people that would take care of me in an honest way did not necessarily do so. Regardless, it was wonderful to see my mom and pups, and get caught up with Brian. I accidentally flaked on the other Tammy which was a whoops on my part, but forgot. Whoops.

In other other news, I got my Korean work visa today! Rawk! I'll be leaving later this month to release the wanderlust out of my system and learn a new skills. If Ann can't be there because of her visa shit I'll be pissed. Majorly so. I have no control over her lack of organization but will make the best of it. If I'm there, don't like it, and get annoyed, I'll leave early. If it's cool w/o her, I'll enjoy it and stay. Take it day by day....
