We were invited to attend a diving convention of some sort at Tokyo Big Sight today.

This is Tokyo Big Sight, famed venue of exhibitions, and the notorious Comiket.

I got duped by some vending machine, into buying a can of Kit Kats instead of what I thought was a Kit Kat milkshake -.-

I don’t know what this ball is for.

The inside of the exhibition hall.

There was some aquarium exhibit with live sea creatures for petting.

I touched a sea hare and a sea cucumber. They were very soft.

There also seemed to be some sort of Island Fest going on, and there were hula dancers from some hula school in Japan

This lady (above) was the teacher. Looking at them sway is somewhat soporific in a way..

The little girls seemed rather awkward still.

Also, there was a booth advertising a Wii hula game. I don’t think I need to state in detail how this game is played XD

The promoter appeared to be having a lot of fun by himself though..

The way to the toilet. It looks remarkably like any other exhibition hall. Suntec City anyone?

There was also some photography exhibition that I attempted to visit, but gave up halfway.

Instead I saw these pictures of animals and the environment instead.

Apes are cool :) Lol God and David

Some HDR.

More HDR

We were then treated to dinner at a restaurant called 大河の舞, somewhere around 新宿三丁目.

The interior is based on samurais and warfare.

Here you can see the helmets of 3 famous Japanese warlords, 織田信長、徳川家康、豊富秀吉

What do you think this is?

The sea bream(鯛) is one of the most prized fishes in Japan. In fact, it is so highly valued that there’s a proverb going “腐っても鯛”

Homemade almond jelly pudding :)
