My Neice
Oh my poor 16 year old niece...she needs all our prays to help her thru this very hard time in her life...please pray for her and her mom.
Apparantly BNW (my niece) got into an arguement with her dad...her dad left and went to a hotel he paid for 2 days. 2 days later the staff found him OD.
BNW blames herself....we have all done our best to explain to her it was not her fault...none of us knows exactly what happened...but it was his time to go.
The funeral was today....she stood up and talked about her dad...granted we could not always understand her words cuz she was crying so hard(such strength to stand up there)...broke my heart to see her in so much pain. It was a long upbeat funeral. (i told my kids i want an upbeat funeral not one of tradition but one of zest with dancing and singing cuz im an upbeat person and i think the funerals should fit the deceased like his did)
At the cemetery it took several of use to gently pry her away from the casket(that broke everyones heart). She is really gonna miss her dad. Even though they argued they always worked it out and now she has to find a way to realize he is with her always and....well im sure you know.
So much pain, frustration, guilt, etc for such a young person. I really wish i could make it all better for her...we all do... She is strong and will get through this with her family and friends.
Her mom is a solid rock and they are very close...i know they will get thru this together with Gods help. This is the second time her mom had to bury a loved one...her child a long long time ago and her mate.
At one point her mom told me she was so glad i came because i was one of his favorite people...she said 'but you already know that'. Im gonna miss him...i know we havent talked much in the past few years. We always got along really well. We could talk about politics or religion and it never became a big debate or anything negative...that was cool. I was one of the few he could talk to about that stuff. Im gonna miss him but no one will miss him more than his daughter.
Please pray for BNW and her mom...God is carrying them now!
