Last night

I think the worse you make of something, the better it turns out in the end. After all, if you expect the apocalypse then being slightly mortified almost seems fair. I barely had time to get ready seeing as there was work in the early afternoon, followed by class and then I had to run to get the digital camera for my assignment. On the plus side, the guy there offered to take my picture so I can send it home to dad. The last 'nice' picture has is from when I graduated college in Beijing.

I think I got a pretty decent price but honestly, I was a bit too concentrated on not being nervous. You'd think years of martial arts competitions would make something like this easy. But I'd take having someone's leg hurtling at me at top speed over just standing there, getting gawked at, any day.

Anyway, all I know is it was an elderly man whose name leads me to believe he is most likely Chinese. Guess I'll find out next week on our 'date'.

Thanks again, Soi Fong for help with the dress! I'm not about to let it disappear in the back of my closet so we'll have to go out for a night on the town at some point.
