Tuesday, of course, was election day. I spent my E.D. driving single moms and the elderly to the polls as part of a massive GOTV effort that resulted in a presidential election level of turnout. Really good to see everyone taking part in our political process.

Vilsack has to announce his intentions now, because, well he has a snowmans chance in hell, Hillary for example knows she's going for it and as a few people know she's been building up her war chest since 04. Personally I'd like to see Joe Biden...at any rate its not just the dems thinking about the presidency, McCains been hinting at it for the past few years, So its a moot point to call the Democrats out on it.
I don't think you'll see an ultra-liberal agenda coming out of the federal government, any advancements on gay rights will come at the state level...as the wave brings more democrats into state seats as long as their federal counterparts work on the bread and butters. We've been shaving off conservatives for their own good...thats part of what Working America was all about.
If they deliver on their 100 hour plan then they're as good as set. As far as Iraq goes I would expect more acceptance of input from commanders on the feild and look into asking our allies for assistance with things like border security in Iraq.
The next 2 years is already written, and they've learned plenty from their guinea pigs the republicans. After 08, well we'll just have to see.
