Wow. It's been a while since I've been here. Thought I'd share this with my friends:
http://vimeo.com/20085362Also, last weekend I was at MFM, and boy what it a whirlwind of a weekend. I had fun goofing off in Melvin and tickling a corgi. Saturday night I stepped out to grab food at the Sonics across the street. As I was walking, I noticed a lot of cloud-to-cloud lightning. Figuring it wasn't gonna be more than that, I walked to block or so over and placed my order. As soon as I received my food, all hell broke loose. Started raining so hard, I couldn't see the hotel and within 5 minutes, the water was flooding the streets. I figured I'd wait out the storm, so I sat down to eat facing the skating rink next door. What a surprise I got when a lightning bolt struck a power pole 50 feet away, then two more touched down in the airport behind the hotel. I tried sending a text to a roommate saying I was stranded, but got no response. So, I bravely waiting out the storm and finished my meal. As I threw my trash away, the rain let up enough to be bearable to walk in, but the road I had to cross was still flooded. Wet foxes do smell funny. As some may know, Sunday night after closing ceremonies was the real icing on the cake when there was a funnel cloud spotted less than 2 miles from the hotel. Was a great "InTheDarKon" or "TwisterCon" or whatever you may call it, to wrap up MFM 16. Thank you TygerCowboy for making me feel welcomed home.
