...I just spent the past half hour finding my way out of a maze. It got easier after I realized that making holes with alchemy only made things worse, but seriously. What was that?! And this:

[Al sighs too] Oh well, it doesn't really matter who-- AH!

[WAY TO SNEAK UP ON HIM, KAMUI. Mr. Glowing Armor jumps a little, but luckily, his helmet can't exactly change expressions. Really. So he regains a calm composure soon enough, even though is voice still shakes a little after being startled.]

Uh. Y-you... certainly have a talent for making silent approaches. You could probably give Ran Fan a run for her money, heh!

[Al pauses a moment, shaking his helmet a little to get one of the lights away from his... glowy eye thing. He tentatively moves towards the walls as he explains.]

She's Xingese--um, Chinese, I guess you'd call her. She's one of Ling's servants who, uh, kinda tried to kill my brother when we first met. She's a tough fighter though, and has an intensely strong spirit. She... kinda cut off her arm, to help us. To help Ling.

[Al pauses. If he could glare at a wall, he'd be doing it right now. No, he doesn't sound bitter AT ALL.]

This is ridiculous. I can't even use my alchemy without it changing on me. And I have a feeling it we write something, it'd just erase it.

[Sigh. Kamui takes Al's metal hand and starts guiding him. It's easier for him to use echolocation, and making sure he doesn't retrace his steps is just a matter of checking where his scent already is. Every few steps, he taps his heel on the floor to give himself a better idea of where he and Al are.]

Has she been here before?

[Al budges a little at the sudden grab, but follows obediently.]

Once. A long time ago. Ling was here a few times too, but... Ed and Winry are the only ones that have actually stuck around. It figures, since they've been by me my whole life.

[He tilts his helmet a little as Kamui taps his heel.] What're you doing?
