So I read this quote yesterday in an article about bush's predicted veto of the bill that would require a deadline for the removal of US troops.
'The legislation "imposes the judgments of people here in Washington on military commanders and diplomats," he said. "So I will veto the bill."'
This quote kind of infuriates me. So...now our military commanders have full autonomy and direction over the actions of the unites states military?
Since when was that NOT contrary to the entire point of our country? I thought part of Bush's job was to have control over the US' actions and to have them match what the people want to have happen. Silly me. Wherever did I get that idea.
In other news...California was awesome, races were successful and good, even if rowed in 95 degree weather, and it was basically a pretty sweet trip. Didn't really want to come back. Rowing in the rain this morning was a nice little reminder that we aren't in cali anymore. I haven't been there in ages...it was cool. Palm trees everywhere. Practiced at six in the morning in shorts and a tanktop. basically ridiculious.
