He was an awfully big Marine

Just realised I saw Rambo IV the other week and have yet to enthuse about it. I haven't stopped quoting it all week and can spot other people that have seen it by the manic glint in their eye.

An instant classic combining the best bits of First Blood (story and characterisation) with III (gore, violence and more gory violence) along with some outright unpleasant bits that'd make the most hardened viewer wince at the reality of warfare and some amusingly over the top bits of cheesy machismo (who would take a Barret Lt.50 into a jungle where there is a range of about 100' rather than the 1.5Km it needs?! and you just know somehting brutal is going to happen when he starts forging the BIG knife! Can you see the arrow on screen with "plotpoint" written on it when he sees the Tallboy ;))

Me likey lots! I just hope they leave it there as it completes the cycle nicely- the only other way to take it is a "Straw Dogs" type defence of the ranch against evil terrorist A-rab, which would be bad.
