Ahhh ... a mere 16-months after my college graduation ... I have finally received a full-time job. YES. YEEEESSSSSSS. Salary. Benefits. 401k. Employee discount. All that fun shit.
I'm the Promotions Coordinator for a marketing company who's sole client is a major American automobile manufacturer. I will handle three car brands in the Chicago area. Basically, I'm planning and organizing and setting up all the shit involved with showing these vehicles off to the public. *pumps fist* I'll be working in N@perville, near 88 and Mill ... so ... if you're out there, lemme know.
Looks like The Age of Twenty-Five will be a big year ... First Grown-Up Job, First (ONLY) Marriage ... don't hold your breath for any other milestones, though. I think this is enough for one year.
Ready for the ironic part? I'm watching Fight Club at the moment. Jack ... works for a major American car company. The exchange between Jack and Tyler just moments ago:
TYLER
So I graduate, I called him a long distance and asked: "Dad, now what?", he says "Get a job".
JACK
Same here.
TYLER
When I turned twenty five, my yearly call again "Dad, now what?", he says "I don't know, get married!"
JACK
I can't get married, I'm a thirty-year-old boy!
Weird. Admit it. But maybe that's just my subconscious on overdrive. *shrug*
