The following form is to be filled out and posted as a comment here (ICly, meaning as if the doctor himself was handing it in) for doctors who choose to take on specific research projects instead of only the normal, random therapies. As explanation:
Taking one a specific project means essentially that the doctor's studies focus mainly (but not exclusively) on a certain type of patients, for example those with:
- specific disorders (please don't take a too common one here, go for something rarer and special)
- specific powers (e.g., immortality)
- specific physical traits (e.g., high strength, endurance, pain tolerance, etc., for physical research such as heightening these or their limits)
- specific types of delusions (e.g. believing you're a wolf, a fairy, dead, etc.)
- very much any other classification that you can come up with.
Please remember: In order for this to really work out, we need you to name the patient characters who would fall under this project, and keep your list updated. This will serve as reference for the mods especially when it comes to therapies. Also, for now, the limit of projects is one. We're still testing how this works out, and we'll tell you as soon as we think it's safe that doctors can take side-projects.
A doctor in charge of a research project is required to follow that, i.e. treat the patients listed fairly regularly, but should still take on other therapies in between. On the other hand, he has the following rights in regards to his project:
- As soon as the patients on his list come up for therapy, one slot at this therapy will be reserved for the doctor who listed him; if the doctor doesn't take it, it can be given to somebody else instead.
- When it comes to treatment and punishment of the patient, the doctor has a slighty higher authority than the other doctors, being able to protest against treatments that may hinder his research, if he can provide proof and reason.
