The troubled sleep Momiji had managed to fall into was torn away from him by a searing pain that wracked through his body, and he awoke breathless, lips pale and eyes wide. He stared at the ceiling for a few moments at first, bewildered and uncomprehending, trying to process the pain he was in, the place he was in. Slowly, he became aware that he was shivering, and that the shivering was causing him almost blinding, white-hot pain. Was it this cold when he first went to sleep? He couldn't remember. The rest came back to him after that. Edelweiss. Group therapy. Oh--
"Z-Zack...?" he called out to the cell, listening to the weakness in his own voice casting off the walls. He turned his head to one side and tried to look at the spot where Zack usually was, wishing the pain would subside enough for him to at least sit up. But it was too hard, leaning on just his good arm while trying not to move his other arm too much. Maybe if Zack helped him, he could do it. Maybe if Zack was still here. But Zack was a busy person, had other things he probably...
