Day: 5 Characters: Zero oops_siblicide & Rolo Lamperouge mmcaramelcenter Summary: Zero meets his doting little brother for the first time. DAY/NIGHT & Time: Day, Rec 1 Status: Closed/Incomplete
Shifting a little on the bed so that he could glance towards the door, Rolo nodded, a relaxing warmth filling him at the sound of his brother's voice. "Come on in, Brother, I'm okay... my heart is beating properly again, I think," he said with a slight nod.
To be honest, the moment he'd felt his heart stop beating, his chest tightening impossibly tight, something that he'd never felt in his life, not even before when he'd used the Geass to save his brother.
When he'd actually...
"I'm glad you're here, Brother."
He'd been worried that he'd die and it wouldn't be saving his brother. He didn't want to waste his life that way.
"Your heart?" Zero asked lightly as he sat down on the bed, patting the space beside him to see how close Rolo would come. He was still testing the waters, so to speak. "Are the side-effects of your Geass worsening? Come here, Rolo. I want to examine you."
Nodding slowly, Rolo shifted close to his brother, swallowing hard. His brother had sounded strange over the intercom, and still a little strange now, but he was relieved that he was acting mostly normal.
"I've never... felt anything like that, brother," he said quietly. "Not even that time..."
"That time?" Zero asked lightly, feigning concern as he took Rolo's vitals, allowing his hands to linger somewhat as he did. He was reassured to find Rolo stable for the time being, though he wasn't sure how much use a Geassless boy of no particular intelligence would be to him. But, he was still better than nothing at all. And the boy's loyalty, well. That was a wildcard all on its own. Zero trusted it would prove worthwhile somehow.
"You're fine now, at any rate. Don't worry about it anymore, but don't use your Geass unless absolutely necessary."
