The sudden comment was startling, but it came from behind, where they had already walked, so the speaker was evidently not a guard. The fact that the comment was crude and aggressive, on top of being an interruption, immediately drew an expression of distaste from Guo Jia. So much for going about unnoticed and in silence. If there were any guards or staff members nearby, then their cover was already blown.

A few seconds passed before he smoothed all trace of displeasure from his countenance before he turned round to face the intruder. They had been lucky this time.

"Discoursing," Guo Jia responded, his tone casually light.

Guo Jia then turned back to the door, ignoring the newcomer for the time being. He tried the handle once on the unlikely chance that it was not locked. When his suspicions were confirmed and the door proved to be locked tight, he addressed Cao Pi in old Chinese once again. It would not be hard to breach the office; the same sort of techniques applied when sieging a gate, merely scaled down appropriately, with slight alterations made for the change in design.

"If my Lord would kindly strike here--" he touched the spot just under the door handle in indication, making no effort to hide the movement from the stranger, "--with your chair leg, as forcefully as you can?"

He stepped aside, with that request made.

How Face had missed out on the action with the crazy demon nurse or whatever it had been was a mystery to him. Everyone else got exciting adventures and he ended up with some giggling and creepy sound effects. It had been less than thrilling, if he was honest, but most things in this place were.

He suspected his luck might have changed though as what sounded like a herd of banthas went tromping by his door. Grinning cheerfully to himself the pilot stuck his scarred face out into the hallway, glanced around to locate the party, and practically bounced over. He liked sneaky sorts of things like this. Well sneaky was sort of the operative word here since at point it sounded like half the asylum was out there trying to be quiet and failing miserably.

"You people would be terrible spies." He remarked, wandering over to join the little group in time to catch the tail end of a language he did not speak, for once. "You're not subtle at all and you need to wear lots of black and have fancy gadgets."

Yes, he was in a helpful sort of mood at the moment, if helpful could be defined as 'not very'.

Two newcomers and none of them armed or hostile; these were the things that interested Cao Pi, and after confirming these facts, he did not grant either Vegeta or Face another glance. Instead, he turned back to the door, now lightly pushing Guo Jia away to have a better view at the lock. Confirming that it was locked as Guo Jia had said, suddenly, he had an idea.

He turned back at the two others, shooting a glance from Vegeta to Face and back to Vegeta, and then stepped aside with a light, cool smirk on his lips.

"I remember you, my bloodthirsty friend," he greeted Vegeta a little belated, crossing his arms in front of his chest. Face's words went ignored, and that was - so Cao Pi felt - more because he felt particularly generous today than anything. Even though Guo Jia had kept their conversation in Old Chinese, he switched to English now, deciding to humour this unexpected company they had just acquired.

"There are things in this room that you two, no doubt, have your own interest in," he continued, with the usual air of cold superiority. "You may come if you come quietly. We are here to take whatever staff has left behind. And this here-" He pointed at the lock, then glanced at Vegeta, and again smiled coolly - "would seem like an opportunity to prove the martial prowess you claim to have, wouldn't it?"

Cao Pi stepped back, opening the way to the door, and waving at Vegeta expectantly. "Surely a locked door is no hindrance to you, warrior prince?"

Vegeta snickered. He was smaller than the others, but it was something he was used to, and stood with an undeniable aura of confidence and power. It had a tinge of evil to it that still held strong, but being without his normal strength made erupting the place into a chaotic inferno an impossible task. He challenged Cao Pi's standing, albeit silently, with his arms crossed over his chest.

He gave the Chinese man a hideous smirk, "I'm almost insulted that you ask. Almost." Despite his small size, the Saiyan's voice was low pitched and raspy, coming from deep within his chest. It shuddered with another snickering chuckle, which eroded into a quiet growl as Vegeta stepped towards the door. He put a hand on it briefly before gathering his strength. He lifted a leg and lashed it out against the epicenter of the door, busting it through and shattering it inward.

"No hindrance at all," he hissed.

At the light push, Guo Jia made sure to step back a number of paces out of the way, unconcerned by the dismissal. Seperate from Cao Pi and the apparent warrior prince, he observed their exchange with silent interest.

It proved to be a good choice when the latter kicked the door -- he raised his eyebrows at the strength of the impact and breathed a quiet, astounded, "Hoo."

It was impressive, despite the lack of judgement and restraint it displayed. The door had shattered. No wonder Cao Pi had taken an interest.

Guo Jia took mental note, accordingly: (barbarian) warrior prince; montrous strength (despite his small stature); easily manipulated through pride; probable lack of interest in finesse.

Since Cao Pi clearly had the warrior prince in hand -- well, relatively speaking, if one ignored the complete lack of inconspicuousness -- Guo Jia remained out of the way. He did, however, spare a sidewards glance towards the newest man in their proximity.

"It seems that you were quite right," he said with casual cheer, his expression humouring. "Still, what situation can't be resolved with resounding brute force?"

Provided that no guards came running after that echoing commotion, the warrior prince's move served their purpose, at least. Guo Jia was certainly eager to see what was inside the office; only observing the protocol of subservience kept him from simply slipping past, and in. Not that much patience would be required, all things considered.

Face watched the exchange with surprising - well maybe just for those who had met him here. He had, after all, not gone out of his way to advertise being a good commando after all - silence, taking it all in and mentally cataloging information about the others. Oh this would be fun.

He met the cheerful one's expression with a good-natured smirk of his own, since he liked the combination of smart and snarky under pressure. "Oh I can think of lots. Bombs, for example. Those usually don't do well with brute force. Or small fluffy animals. Or unfluffy ones. I've got these pet insects at home that tend to escape their cages but really I can't see smashing them as the way to handle it. Also the broken door is a fantastic way to announce our presence to the entire asylum. You do realize how quickly they'll figure out who was involved now, don't you?" He asked, finishing his speech with a long suffering look at the door kicker in question. Worst impromptu commando team ever.

"Then let us hurry," Cao Pi suggested, already through the door. He had given Vegeta a nod that could be interpreted as either gratitude or respect. Of course the other man had a point - a very good one in fact. He was doubtlessly sensible and intelligent, but if Cao Pi was one thing, then he was a pragmatist, and there was little use complaining about something that was too late to change now. He wanted to find out whatever he could in the office, before they did not have the chance any more.

He waved the others to follow when he entered, and took a look around, primarily to see if there were any weapons lying openly around, and then went to look through the lockers or any other hiding places where one could expect weapons.

"Fengxiao, see what information you can find," he instructed the strategist in Old Chinese, then nodded at Face, very well aware that the man most likely could not understand him, and added in English, "Him, too."

He would leave it to the two to communicate their task, and lastly turned to Vegeta, and there was no sign of doubt in his voice. "I trust you can handle whoever tries to surprise us?"

The office was mundane. At a first glance it looked like a regular office with a desk and a chair behind it with two in front for patients. A pen was laid out over the top of a neat stack of papers. Off to one side of the desk surface was a single note. It read the following.

There have been reports of a mass hallucination. This isn't the first group of patients to see it and I want the source found and dealt with. Make sure it has nothing to do with the signs of tampering with the West Wing's doors.

There's no name signed and the back of the note is as ordinary as stack of papers. The paper stack is day to day paperwork, a few names of patients listed in the right sections but nothing else. Possibly paperwork prepped for the following day.
