Garnier had spent the day before studying the dossiers of every patient in the asylum. He hadn't gotten through them all, of course, because there were so many with so many detailed problems, but he had run through quite a number. Having started on those he'd earlier deemed more desperate, the list of people for him to assign a time with had grown. He couldn't let more time pass for some of them, and he already had a number that he would have to see again. Alyss, namely, had to be brought back in at some point - had her sleeping remained the same, or was she struggling again? - but now that the day had dawned, it was high time to send a guard out to fetch someone who was in even more desperate need of his help.
The file had been updated only the day before. Sleepwalking. Forgetfulness. Speaking with those that didn't exist. The boy had been in the asylum for far longer than any of the three Garnier had seen yet, and had been there when the apparent purge of both patients and staff had occurred. His mind, which the file read as being so important to him, was degenerating. His last doctor had been more butcher than healer and left the boy with scars that would likely never heal. It was no surprise that Lavi was now a wreck, a shadow of his former self.
He made no announcement before the therapy occurred; it seemed better to simply have them escorted there, with no chance for them to get riled up or worried, or to send their allies rushing to their aid. No, quickly and quietly was what he asked for. The guards were instructed to silence. This was likely the least stressful way to go about the process ... or so he believed. Garnier had never had to deal with a situation quite like this.
