His other experiments - those other patients - could argue and fight all they liked. They could feign ignorance, claim innocence, disagree with everything he said and everything he theorized. They could do whatever they wanted to try and keep this girl from being associated with them, but the moment she arrived had sealed her fate. Her delusions were listed as clearly as anything else.
And they had immediately jumped to talk to her like starving dogs. Even if she hadn't been and Exorcist, that alone would have damned her. It was hard to say you didn't know someone when you were on a first-name basis with them.
