DAY/NIGHT & Time: Day! Morning!
Status: CLOSED//INCOMPLETE
The night had been one of the hardest that Naruto had ever felt in his entire life. He'd been worried through the entire day about Sasuke, not really understand where the other boy had been taken or what might have happened to him.
To start off the night, he'd been attacked by the one person in this entire place that he'd trusted above all else. Had his dreams shattered and had been injured in the encounter. He'd gone from that to his first encounter with his father that he'd had in weeks.
He'd enjoyed it, really. Enjoyed having the opportunity to be around someone that he found to be helpful and who made him feel calm and happy and like he belonged. There was the slight drawback of knowing and seeing just how much pain and frustrating his father was experiencing, knowing that it stemmed from falling in love with someone and not being able to take care of them the way you want to, or the way that they need to be.
He could only imagine what it felt like for Reeve, and he sighed heavily, closing his eyes.
After that, he'd gone to see Linali, the girl he'd once fallen for and whose disappearance had changed his entire life. She was back now, and just as pretty and amazing as he remembered, and he'd been tongue tied a lot, not really sure what to say, and he'd hoped that by being with her the way he had been, that he hadn't broken any promises to Antubis.
However, it was at the end of the night that everything had reached its very culmination. He'd been laying in his bed with Antubis when he'd heard the loud screaming of his best friend, and a feeling unlike anything else had rushed through him. He'd been so afraid and so worried for Sasuke, and he'd held to the intercom in fear and desperation, needing to be with his friend, needing to be there to be the one who could understand and be his best friend, and assure him that there was still a way to be Sasuke, even without the eyes that had become his life. Naruto, more than anyone else, knew this. Knew such a thing was problem.
Sasuke had turned him down. Insisted that he couldn't come, and it had been like a baseball bat smashing into him. It felt, all over again, like when they'd fought that time in the Valley of the End, where he'd been unable to help Sasuke when the other had been so sure that he was missing something in his life that would make him whole. There was nothing that he was allowed to do, and he really had been, in that moment---
Dead Last.
He'd been broken in that moment, and so he'd turned to Antubis who had been willing to give up everything that he was, everything he'd ever had, and Naruto had never felt such a rush of... anything then in that moment, and he'd taken Antubis back into his arms and used scraps of his own jacket as bandages to heal him.
The other man was asleep now, and so he felt comfortable sneaking out into the hallway to calm down. To let out everything that had built inside of him, that had bubbled up and broken him He'd closed the door to the cell and walked into the hall, punching the wall as hard as he could, screaming as the pain rolled over him.
“Ouch, oh FUCK. FUCK FUCK FUCK!”
