Summary: Hige find's Sasuke sans Sharingan.
DAY/NIGHT & Time: Evening

Hige had never felt so frightened or angry in his entire time here. He had started to get used to the pain of losing his friends, to the fear and guilt he felt when anybody that he'd let himself get close to, but he'd never really get used to it. He'd promised himself though, that he wasn't going to be weak anymore, he wasn't going to lose it every time that someone got hurt or died. Not after Tsume... He wasn't going to eat another person's heart, and after the wolf's death, he didn't want to feel the guilt or shame of losing anyone again. They were all humans here, no wolves... There was no reason to be attached or concerned for any of them.
Except for Sasuke. The ninja was the only exception to that choice, and was the only person that Hige had left. He had also become the wolf's mate, who he'd sworn to protect.
So, when he'd finally heard Sasuke's voice again over the intercom, screaming and hoarse, broken in a way that the wolf have never heard him sound before, not when they'd first met, and not when he'd returned from therapy, and it scared him.
He'd failed again, he couldn't protect Sasuke like a mate was supposed to, he could do anything that needed to do. However, he wasn't just going to leave Sasuke alone, not when he was blind, bleeding, and apparently tied up as well. It didn't mean a damn thing to him that Sasuke didn't want to be seen, pride was useless right now, not when the ninja could have died. If it meant so much to Sasuke then Hige would tell the boy that he closed his eyes... Not like... Not like he'd be able to tell...
Though, when he finally reached the showers, sprinting all the way from his cell, he actually did what Sasuke had told him to do, and he didn't look. He squeezed his eyes shut at the overwhelming smell of blood. He could already tell that he was shaking, and he wasn't even sure that he could handle this, but he had to... He had to be strong for Sasuke.
"Sasuke? Talk to me, okay?" He called out shakily, waiting for a response from the ninja, unable to find him with his eyes closed, and the blood overpowering all his senses.
