Where Huey had anticipated this night, Axel honestly wasn't sure how he 'felt' about it. When it came down to it, despite having spent the greater part of his day thinking about it, he really hadn't thought it through at all. When he had first gotten here, what felt like ages ago now, there would have been no way that he would have put his life in anothers hands so willingly. Most anyone could probably see that Axel wasn't a very trustworthy individual, and in truth, it was a double-edged sword considering that he also wasn't the type to trust.

Though Axel was adamant about maintaining the idea that he couldn't be broken, the only person he could hope to fool anymore was himself, as it was apparent that Edelweiss had taken it's toll on him. Even he had fallen victim to a sense of desperation, and this coupled with his habit of doing the unexpected was leading him right into what could easily be a fatal decision. In the end, he had become careless, and no matter what the outcome, the consequences would come back to bite him in the ass.

As careless as he had become, however, he wasn't so blind as to think that Huey was out to sincerely help him. Axel fully understood what the other man would get out of it, and in a sense, that made it easier for him to go through with it. It was easier to accept a trade than it was a favor, and Huey's curiosity and sense of purpose would be what kept his hand steady. His professional attitude regarding the matter would ensure that he kept a cool head, whereas had it been a good friend, they would have easily panicked.

All Axel knew was that, though it might cost him his life, he couldn't spend another day with the heart beating inside of him, not if he could help it. So it was on a sense of direction and impulse that guided him out of his room, stepping a determined path down to cell three. His posture was awkward, to avoid further irritating his already injured ribs, and slowed him down considerably, but it felt like no time before he arrived at the designated cell.

He paused in the doorway for a moment, giving a quick glance around at his surroundings before stepping into the actual cell, doing his best to appear calm and confident. Eyes darting over to the area the other man had set up, it was in a slightly sarcastic tone that he announced his presence.

"Here?"

Not that he had expected anything better than a floor, but laughter was the best medicine, right?
