Day: 35 (backdated) Characters: Mildmay Foxe [annemer ] and Zack Fair [dogish ] Summary: Two new arrivals do some exploring. DAY/NIGHT & Time: Night, once the cells are opened. Status: Incomplete
Of course Mildmay was listening to the sound of someone coming up the stairs - hard not to hear - and heading towards his door. He waited tensely, ready for trouble if it wasn't the company he was expecting. But the smiling guy peaking around the door didn't look like he was looking for a fight, and the fact that he knew his name was a good sign.
He didn't return the smile; nothing personal, just that the huge scar twisting up the left side of his face from mouth to hairline always turned the expression into something nasty. Just nodded instead and said, "Yeah. You Zack?"
Betting on the answer being yes he stood and limped over to the door. Another quick check out in the hallway for trouble just in case this was some sort of trap, but nope, looked clean. Good.
Mildmay knew the look that flashed across the other's face when he started walking; it was the way people looked when they started revising opinions once they saw him walk. Well fuck that. His own face was impassive as ever - again, mostly thanks to the scar- and he didn't bother with any sarcastic remarks. He's walk until they were done looking around and that was that. For someone who had always relied so heavily on mobility, having it taken away never really got much easier to deal with. But he wasn't gonna worry about that at the moment.
So he just nodded, hard green eyes wandering over every inch of the hallway thoughtfully. "Yeah, looks like it." Running into other people was certainly an interesting prospect, though how sane they would be if they'd been here long remained to be seen.
"I figure we just sorta start walkin'." He suggested with a shrug as he started towards the stairs. "Maybe someone forgot to shut the exit." There was a hint of dry humor in his voice at that idea.
