Day: 28 Characters: Sasuke Uchiha [revengeisbitter] and Naruto Uzumaki [two_inside_one] Summary: Training IN THE BUFF. :\ DAY/NIGHT & Time: Morning/early afternoon Status: closed, incomplete
It had been good to hear Sasuke defending him on the intercoms when the whole fight had broken out. It was good to know that he had a friend here, even if things had seemed strained between them since they'd first come to this place.
He'd been so angry with the things that people had been saying to him, frustrated beyond belief that no one in this entire asylum seemed to understand what it was that he was trying to say, the points he was trying to get across. It was obvious that he shouldn't really have expected them to. The fact always remained that he was from a place very far away that nobody could really understand.
He was used to being a tool, someone driven by their emotions but not completely owned by them. He wasn't one who was accustomed to feeling crushed by failure. Someone who wouldn't stay weak just because someone had hurt him. It was something he used to help make him constantly stronger and stronger and stronger.
Except Sasuke. Sasuke came from the same place as he did. Sasuke lived the same way he did, hurting and alone and bred for war and assassination. Sasuke knew what it was to come from a world full of shinobi. So when Sasuke had defended him today, forced Jack and Edgeworth to listen to him, to understand where they were coming from, Naruto had been pleasantly surprised and... had felt a little better, even.
So when he made his way to the rec room where they'd agreed to meet, Naruto was grinning. He was naked, but, accustomed to it as he was, he didn't mind all that much. Peeking his head into the area, he caught sight of Sasuke, and grinned a little wider.
It was--strange, seeing Naruto naked. They'd been nude around each other before, but that was when they'd still been a team, prepubescent and far too caught up in their rivalry to notice anything physical about one another. Now, however--now it was different. They'd both had three years to mature and change, and the young man Sasuke was looking at was barely recognizable from the exuberant little boy he remembered.
Feeling bizarrely self-conscious, Sasuke forced himself not to stare, smirking a little at his friend. Naruto looked--good. He looked stronger than when they'd last seen each other, despite a little less muscular than he should have been. It was to be expected; this place sucked the life out of people, and the food was less than nutritious.
"Hey idiot," he said flippantly. "About time your ass got here."
After taking note of the obvious physical changes in Naruto, he began to notice something slightly--off about the other. His smile seemed strained; much less bright and unassuming as before, and he would be foolish to question why. He'd heard what the others had said over the intercom, and it had infuriated him in a way he hadn't expected. Somehow, the thought of anyone tearing Naruto down--here, of all places, where they were supposed to band together, give each other strength--upset him on a level that was almost personal.

"Hey, bastard! You're here. Been waiting long?
