Full House

I'm following in Chaz's footsteps and putting up some real estate news.

We're looking at putting a bid on a condo in Bermuda Dunes Country Club (http://www.bermudadunescc.org/). I have mostly good feelings about it. I'm not bore you with interest rates and Rich's low-ball bidding strategy. It's in foreclosure and here's the run-down.

Good
1. On the 18th fairway of the Bob Hope Classic blah blah... (in other words - it has an incredible view)
2. Adorable mid-century styling & charm
3. Floor to ceiling windows in living room, master bedroom and dining room
4. Atrium-view sunken shower w/glass blocks (weird... but tres cool)
5. Golf cart garage (LOLZZZZ)
6. Completely detached condo, no common walls (they don't built'em like this anymore, folks)
7. Wrap-around patio on the golf course
8. No wasted space in floor plan
9. No repairs needed, seems kept up (at casual inspection)
10. Community pool that is mostly not ghetto
11. 24/7 guarded community

Bad
1. Adorable mid-century styling & charm (in California terms - Prehistoric)
2. 1,200 SF, smaller than we would like
3. No garage (other than the golf cart one), 2 tandem parking spaces, one covered by a ghetto carport
4. Dated bathrooms, though functional
5. Popcorn ceilings - built in 1950s = asbestos
6. HOAs - OUT OF CONTROL (Don't get me going on this. Do special assessments, you ignorant HOA people!)
