There's really kind of a lot to write about...

...I could mention my nervousness for starting my first *real* job on Monday. I could mention my displeasure in working 8-6 tomorrow at Best Buy before said first day of work. I could also go off on how excited I am that Man-Ram is off to the Dodgers.

Instead, I want to whine about next weekend.

The Virgin Mobile Music Festival (a.k.a., Virgin Fest or V-Fest) is next weekend, and I need to start planning my schedule to see all the acts. You see, there're 2 stages and one dance tent all going on at once, and while I am totally cool with wandering from stage to stage just kind of killing time and catching a couple of songs, maybe discover a new band here and there... the "must-see's" all seem to happen at once.

The only conflict I have with Saturday's lineup is the last half of Rodrigue y Gabriela's set runs against the first half of The Offspring's. Not an issue. I also have some mild interest in checking out Jack Johnson's set, but missing any of the Foo Fighters' set is not an option.

Sunday's just not fair. At one time, Stone Temple Pilots, Bob Dylan and Moby are all playing a set. I'll probably catch Moby, but having a ticket to see Bob Dylan and skipping is blasphemous, and who knows when this iteration of STP is going to last 'til the next breakup, so there'll be sacrifices. Immediately after Moby's set is another really hard decision -- Nine Inch Nails going up against Kanye West. Again, likely will check out NIN, but all the words on the street say that Kanye has the best live set and can really get a crowd going, so that's not to be missed either.

Whatever happens, it's gonna be awesome and you can expect a huge concert post here sometime early next week, but I gotta work out logistics, and soon. My friend Jero is gonna be down here this weekend, so I gotta work in seeing him, too.

As a last point, sometime this week, I'll be getting a new Maryland cell phone number, and details will be posted here (and on facebook) as well.
