More Engrish from my Krazy Kids...
So today, I had to do the first round of the "dreaded" Christmas lesson. Lesson plan: 20 minutes "warm-up," 15 minutes "Xmas speech" and then 15 minutes of a simple worksheet.
For the 1nensei, the one sentence I have them write is "This Christmas, I want a ~, a ~, and a ~ under my tree. [at least 3 things]" Practice prepositions, making lists, using "a" as needed. Here is a selection of the results, and I'm sort of amazed at what my kids think Santa can provide:
- This Christmas, I want an electric guitar, beer and a UFO and a lovely one-piece and much money under my tree.
- This Christmas a game, a kendama, and a gold under my tree.
- This Christmas, I want money, money, and money under my tree.
- This Christmas, I want a basketball, a place to play, and a books under my tree. [This is sad...]
- This Chritmas, I want an alien, a kind father, many games and a lot of muscles under my tree. [...actually, this is sadder.]
- This Christmas, I want a bed, a tell, a happy medicine for every one.
- This Christmas I want a Euphonium and boy friend and a book andawii and a beautiful face and a umbrella
- This Christmas, I want a volleyball, a portable phone, and a brother under my tree. [Meet Santa... the black-market people dealer...]
- This Christmas, I want a big house, a play station portable, a Ds, a Santa, [...who is apparently doing work in the cloning industry. Keeps costs down, I hear.]
- I want Playstation three / I want Playstation Portable / I want Japan
- This Christmas, I want ipod, shuffad and money case (Louis Vuitton) under my tree [Yup. He can spell "Louis Vuitton" but not "iPod Shuffle". hrmm...]
- This Christmas, I want a DS, Basketgoal and crab cell phone. [I don't know what this is...]
- This Chrismas, I want a new guitar, CDs, books, DVDs, big room, new glove, pens, Doraemon, drum, brother, Wii, Basketball, dogs, and happyday under my Chrismas Tree.
- This Christmas, I want a Playstation3, a Playstation portable, a Wii, a Xbox 360 and knowledge under my Christmas Tree.
- This christmas I want Play station3 Play station Portble, end, Nintendo Wii, end, freedome, end, under my Christmas [Don't we all want a little "freedome [sic]"?]
