The updated outfit

Thank you so much for all the advice about how to proceed with this costume.

I did some serious revamping, threw some stuff out, added other stuff, and came up with this. (My husband is not super amazing with the camera, a thousand apologies.)





So, the blouse was changed out for a tea-dyed white one, I added a bowler hat, a bunch of gold jewelry and a chained broach on the coat, ditched the heavy hanging chain. Though you can't see it there's a red band on the hat with a broach that matches the one on the coat.

This is probably still a work in progress, but I'm a lot more pleased with how it stands now. Just got to get a few better pictures, and I'll be content for the time being. And a fancier hat band. And some nifty stockings. And...
