Artist statement (revised)

I am not an authority on artist statements as I do not consider myself a real artist. Keep that in mind before you act on my suggestions.

The first paragraph seems like a good intro to me.

By the time I read the third and fourth paragraphs, it started to sound a little bit repetitive as it expanded on the ideas you had just brought up in the second paragraph. There might be a way to break up that paragraph and inject the important bits to the third and fourth paragraphs to get the message across a little more concisely.

The fifth and final paragraph really nails the statement down wonderfully.

Overall very nicely done. Now hurry up and get famous.

I looked at that Angie Mason stuff and I agree with your comment. While I wouldn't say her stuff is terrible (hell, I can't really do any better, but then I don't consider myself an artist) it is still obvious that her work is nothing special. It makes me think of the kind of work someone would do in her early years as an art major, someone who is still in the process of developing her own style and finding her niche. Perhaps better than a non-artist, but not yet mature artwork. Hot Topic marketing-esque.
