My computer is fixed! Huzzah! Huzzah!
I think it has been roughly two months since I tripped on the power cord and broke the DC jack. So many things have been put on hold -- uploading photos, putting good music on my new iPod (the new one was at home when I got here), actually writing real responses to emails from friends that have been sitting in my inbox for a shamefully long time. I have a lot of catching up to do now. But at least I feel like I have the capacity to do it. Life is falling back into place.
I miss Italy, but only when I think about it. Rummaging around my kitchen tonight trying to decide what to eat I didn't even THINK of pasta, and then later when I did I realized that I do not have pesto or lots of veggies or fresh mozzarella or aranciata or a messy kitchen with too few utensils.
