Been a while since I made a full entry, mostly because my time is divided between marking crappy undergrad papers and enjoying the company of my family. Kaylee's so cute, and I will in fact, show her growth progress by loading up some pictures later in the week. She's already 14 pounds!
She's also set a record, but sneezing in my face 101 times in November. That's an actual counted number by the way, I was keeping track the entire time.
What else is new? Not much, just winding down the semester, trying not to fail students for their obvious idiocy, and getting ready for the holidays. I haven't been this excited about the Xmas season in a long time, and it should be pretty fun. We bought a cheap fake tree for $15, and have completed nearly all of our holiday shopping well in advance, so that's a relief.
Random Thoughts:
Also: Anyone ever read www.overcompensating.com ? It's made by the guy who created www.wigu.com . Both strips are really funny, and worth the time to check out.
The Tenacious D soundtrack is less than 40 minutes long, and is kind of hit and miss in parts (I hate the >1 minute tracks that don't really say or do much), but the tracks that work REALLY work. Download "Kickapoo," "The Government Totally Sucks," and "Beezlboss (The Final Showdown)."
The Oilers dropped another home loss, but are still doing fairly well in the scheme of things. They've lost three of their top forwards to injury though, and can hopefully use their depth to shore things up. If Hemsky can get back soon and step it up they'll be fine.
Last weekend I helped my father-in-law tear up his dining room floor. It took forever, and it was freezing outside when we took the pieces to the dump. My back and legs were killing me. This weekend I agreed to tear up the KITCHEN floor and some cupboards. Thankfully, it's nowhere near as cold outside, but I can sense a long day ahead. Why am I up so early? Because my princess decided that she wanted to eat again. If Kathleen didn't get up with Kaylee 90% of the time, I'd be much more tired than I usually am. I cannot wait to have the occasional sleepage.
