:'(
I've been on A&E placement for the last five weeks. The best part of it is the fact that I've been at home the entire time. IT was great being pampered by parents - food being cooked for me, house always spick and span, regular reliable net access.
Now it's all gonna go. Normally when I come back home for short periods of time, going back to uni isn't so hard. But this time I'm starting a placement in Psychiatry. Not only do I not like this specialty, I'm gonna do it at a place I've never been to before. Which makes it doubly daunting! Not sure what the accommodation's gonna be like, though I expect it to be sub-standard. Don't think I'm gonna have net access. IF there's a library, I might be lucky. Otherwise I'm gonna need to hunt for an internet cafe. Not sure why these placement centres don't understand the fact that all students need access to their emails to check for important messages from the University.
The thing I hate most about leaving home is that it always feels so similar to when you know you're gonna die. You realise how much you took everything for granted, and how much you're gonna miss everything. You wished you had accomplished certain things before you left and you realise you didn't do as much as you should have.
Got a few days left before I leave for uni. Need to pack my stuff together, make sure I got everything I need transferred to laptop and make sure car's in tip-top condition. Hate doing this stuff coz I always end up missing out something important.
Psychologically, I always shed a tear before I leave home.
