2008 Summer Olympics Opening Ceremonies
They turned out better than I expected. Visually stunning, and far easier to watch than some of the more esoteric offerings of the past.
I missed Scotland completely in the Parade of Nations. :-( I would also have liked to have seen the Chinese rendition of each nation's name in the graphics at the screen bottom.
I was *very* surprised to see a McCain political ad. I thought that the major networks had a policy of turning down political or "controversial" adsduring major sporting events.
