I disagree. He can *say* that's what he's doing all he wants, but the reality of the situation is, he's there to intimidate and make a statement. He's not across town with his weapons, making a statement to the press; he's right out front in a potential powderkeg situation.
I'm not so sure I'd be the one taking a weapon to a place that's likely to be crowded with people, many of them emotional and on edge as they have been with the Town Halls lately. Additionally, there's a scary, scary subset of the population who are moving more and more towards violence as a solution to all that ails us - which just ain't so. But the news is reporting that militia groups are at an all time membership boom, and that? Scares me.
Especially when I listen to people who are convinced that Obama wasn't born in this country, that he's a seekrit Muslim out to destroy us all.
Obama takes far more chances than I would in his shoes. He's quite a public presence...and I can't help but wonder how long that can last peacefully.
