My offical acceptance to Indiana University came in the mail today. I've looked over all their stuff again, just because, and it keeps looking better and better. IU is actually really amazing. Honestly, the only thing making me hesitate is its location. If IU were suddenly dropped into any major city, I'd be there in a heartbeat.
Hm. You know what? I think that one of the main reasons that I wanted to go to Northeastern is that it just sounds better than Indiana University. I suppose that sounds ridiculous, and, well, it is. With the friends that I have, it's a bit intimidating, to be perfectly honest. Well, no. Intimidating isn't the right word. More of ... humbling? Princeton, Virginia Tech, UPenn, Rochester, Brown....and Indiana University?
It sort of seems like a joke.
But you know what? I really like IU and it's a really good school. It's everything I want. It shouldn't matter. I've decided not to let what I believe other people are thinking affect my decision. I'm going to go visit Northeastern and then make my decision based on what I actually want.
Go me.

Ok, but wait. Northeastern is actually more competive. AND, in Boston. It's a huge school...so even if it doesn't seem as 'arty' I'm sure I could find my niche.
Did I mention it's in Boston?

Ok, so wait.
What DO I want?
