Really, if you were going to fanfic it you’d hesitate in case it was too OTT. But CANON does it for you. THIS IS HOW I FEEL ALL THE TIME. YES. EXACTLY. Exactly.
T'is such a CAPSLOCK-Y kind of fandom! I'd like some pink and purple colours and stars and flowers to scatter round the review! Ah, MERLIN, even the stupendous plot holes are made of the shiny.
*still flailing* I've watched this on repeat four times since Saturday - I had to work both days, otherwise it'd've been more.
the gloves are getting kind of scary - you're right, he had them on even though his shirt was off, apparently to bandage a cut on his forearm... wtf? wouldn't you just, oh, I don't know, take off the gloves and roll up your sleeves?
how I love love love the scene where Arthur throws down his gauntlet!

Recently I pretty much switch on my computer, do the minimum acceptable amount of work, and pull up my fanfic file...

It *is* lovely. There's so much in this ep - when I'd finished reviewing I thought of loads more I wanted to say. I hope you have time to do a round-up at some point. A.
I kinda went overboard in my jotting of random thoughts... I just love this episode so much!
And it's an UTTERLY FANTASTIC review! Will comment on your page.
Someone - I'm fairly sure it was Lassisterfic - mentioned that Arthur is very slow at picking up small clues about people (genuinely) caring about him. *g* In that respect he's lucky he has Merlin, since subtlety and Merlin do not walk hand in hand!!
Did Igraine actually agree to this? Am thinking that she might not have been told. And Uther, did it ever occur to you that your son might feel guilty about being the cause of death of his mum?
I kind of got from the episode that Arthur wasn't told anything about how Igraine died. I can't believe that (as awesome as Giaus and his never-ending supply of reference books are) the Camelot physicians are well enough versed in medicine that they couldn't honestly tell a curious child!Arthur that his mom just got ill and died when he was a baby. Vague answers for the win.
Actually, yes, that would make a lot of sense. Vague answers. And naturally Arthur wouldn't enquire more 'cos of the whole upsetting Uther thing. *g* But Arthur does angst very nicely so I'm all for piling stuff on him so Merlin can make him feel better!! A.
That he does. And Merlin comfort is always nice! I believe we need more of it, in a now-ish sort of way. Unfortunately my rabid plunnies are herding me in the opposite direction. ^o^'
