More fic. It's still not totally right but I think it's now a fairly honourable defeat. Thanks to JB filenotch for comments. Any story failure or individualistic  turns of grammar are emphatically my fault.

In which Merlin gets possessed, Alsoa writes romantic fumbling sex and (probably) the seeds of a huge future misunderstanding are sown.

I... kind of adore this. The writing has this wonderful light touch. And plot! I wasn't expecting plot, but there it was, and it was awesome. There could be a number of ways possession can be hokey, but I like what you did with it here. Merlin still trying to be Merlin in his body was charming and kind of hilarious. I like the nudge-winks at history and legend, 'cos we know they're both going to be bigger than this.

Thanks so much - what lovely comments! But plot, must have plot in order to plausibly draw them together since that power imbalance is a huge deal. Also a slow build up is fun to read. LOL. Possession is hokey! I was totally aware of straying Buffy territory. Especially having Giles there, and all!

Oh this is fantastic! As well as the gorgeous Merlin/Arthur, I really loved the story of Bronwyn too - it creates a lovely wistful eeriness to the whole thing. Thank-you!

From Merlin's touchiness at Bronwyn's fate at the beginning, to Arthur trusting Merlin not to hurt him, and of course the lovely ending.

I can't tell you how I struggled to work an explicit sex scene via entirely oblique references!! But they were all tender and awkward and NC-17 felt totally wrong and would have broken the mood.
