Ah, the wiseness of it all.
You think you're so old and wise until you realize you have all this time and education infront of you. It's all ground that hasn't been touched by your feet yet... and you thought you had already covered all the ground necessary to make it to your destination.
This weekend and tonight, I realized something. I was thinking about people's relationships and such. I was watching Summerland (...sad, I know...) and the episode was all about decisions in relationships.
I thought about it and I came to the conclusion that I'd rather be the best friend that's always there instead of the girlfriend that's only there for a little while. Even if being the best friend means that you hear stories about the girlfriend that make you jealous, there are always those memories you and your best friend have created that the girlfriend can't top. For when the girlfriend isn't in the picture anymore, her memories won't be the ones standing tall in his head; The ones he made with you will.
