Lately, I feel older than 17, or maybe just more responsible. Just today, I took a bus from NYC back to Connecticut, myself. Gerardo walked me to the gate, of course, but once I was through it, I was on my own. I'm going to have to do the same thing on Saturday, except I'm going to meet Gerardo at Port Authority in NYC. From there, we go to his father's house and board the plane for Port Canaveral. I know there are people that do things like this everyday, but it's so new to me.
On Friday night, Gerardo and I went to Rockaway beach. It was 11:30 PM, so there was nobody there. We found a lifeguard bench, and just sat and talked for an hour, listening to the waves and watching the airplanes land. I can honestly say it was one of the most important moments in my life. Everything was just so perfect. The wind, the temperature, the environment, everything. This is perfect. I'm happy. It just feels so good.
We got to the Poconos, and we went horseback riding! This was my first try at this, and I LOVED it. The trail was excellent, and well worth $25. My horse's name was Hodie. It was so funny, he trotted right to the front of the line, and Gerardo's horse waited to be at the end of the line. Everytime I looked back at him, he was smiling at me. He told me that I look cute riding on a horse.
Can't wait to post videos and pictures.
