Life is simply amazing.
Life... it's amazing and tragic at the same time. When I saw this, I cried.
My budgie hen, Eggy, decided to destroy 3 of her 5 eggs. The other two were covered in droppings and cracked a bit. The yolks were all over the nest and covered her head. I managed to pick up the two remaining eggs and examined them a bit. They were definately cracked enough to where the baby inside could not survive. I placed it on a coffee filter and looked at the hole and pryed it open a bit.. this is what I saw.
Extremely tragic, and for some reason, even though the baby was already dead, I felt like I was invading and wrong for prying. It is so tiny, and I just started crying. How could she destroy her babies like this? I wish I could have watched this little one grow up and learn to fly.. Can you see the wings and legs? They are so clear to me.
