It's not like I haven't seen it...
I just dropped $200 on four tickets to see Atlanta's Ballet NUTCRACKER. And that was with a 30% discount.
But, it's RocketBoy's first time going to the Fox and seeing the ballet, so I splurged on the good seats. MIL and BILGF will be joining us.
The kicker is, I worked for the Ballet for four seasons, and had to watch/work NUTCRACKER so much that I was able to memorize some of the dances. I haven't seen it in a number of years. I believe the last time I went was with jaysaint's now-husband. We went to opening and I drank wine, so it was before I was pregnant with RocketBoy. I'm guessing it was 6 or 7 years ago, now.
I'm looking forward to it. I love holiday spectacles, and I think Atlanta Ballet does NUTCRACKER right. It's like an hour and a half of eye cotton candy.
Unfortunately, they'll be dancing to taped music. Maybe now that I'm a paying patron, I'll drop a note to the artistic director complaining about that....
