If It Makes You Happy...
So, last night I'm at my Thursday night karaoke show, which consists mainly of out-of-town and out-of-country tourists. It's on North Beach, right next to lots of hotels. Unlike most karaoke shows, I don't have a long line of singers. So, I usually have to sing every third or fourth song. Much like when I worked at my SoBe show at hotel, people make lots of requests for me to sing songs they want to hear. And they're all over the spectrum - This Love by Maroon 5, How You Remind Me by Nickelback, Back At One by Brian McKnight, Paralyzer by Finger Eleven, Unforgiven by Metallica. And despite having never done a lot of songs they requested, I did them all. Well.
When I do this and it makes them happy and they go nuts with applause and screaming. It feels great. At one point in the night, I thought "This is really cool. Wish I had a job doing this!" Then it hit me that I did have one doing exactly that. LOL
Anyway, this might seem like a stupid post. But I spend a lot of time feeling sorry for myself for my lack of love in my life and my lack of friends to spend time with. But this time, I wanted to express some appreciation for one good thing, while I was feeling it.
