Eventful and tiring weekend. On Saturday Dad and I went fishing at Guist Creek Lake. I got on the trailer and shoved the boat out and then got in while e parked the car. I turned around and, surprise, surprise, I was sinking. Quickly. I tried paddleing to the shore but the wnd was slowing me. By that time the water was up to my ankles. I jumped into the back and used the trolling motor to get close to shore and then jumped out into the water (which was about knee-high, I figured my shoes were already soaked, so why not?) and pulled the boat to shore. By the time I got to shore water was beginning to come in over the back where the motor was. I pulled it as far onto land as I could but that boat is heavy when full of water. When dad finally got back he discovered we had forgotten to put the plug in the drain hole. brilliant. so we evtually got it bailed out and went fishing. caught a few fish that were so tiny I did know they could bite the hook.
On Sunday we went to Churchill Downs. My very first time betting on a race and I won. BOO-YAH. I won $7.80 on No ONe But You, Or something like that. Of course i lost my next 2 races but I still came out ahead by 1.80. Woo.
