Yeah, things are goin' a bit better now. Prof. Curtiss seems like he's doin' better and we got the Hogsmeade trip and then Easter break comin' up if you need more time off from schoolin'.

If you're lookin' for a Potions group, why don't you ask Ludwig about it? There's three folks in our group already but he might still let you in.

It would be nice to see my sister again though.

Well, I do miss her a lot. I've never been away from her for so long.

Yeah, I can see that bein' a big hurdle for you. It took me a while to stop bein' homesick when I came here for my first year.

Yes, well, she's my best friend! Do you go visit your family over the holidays, too?

I try to. I gotta stay in the house, though; my Muggle friends don't really know where I'm at right now and I gotta stay low a bit.

Oh, you have Muggle friends?

Yeah, I got a couple of Muggle friends. I told you about Tim already, but then there's Shelley, Amy and Fallon. I ain't seen 'em in a while, but I do hear about how they're doin' when Riley and Ma write back to me.

Are they doing well?

[batcomrade]

I think so, yeah. Tim and Riley are still goin' steady, and he's still in the habit of doin' experiments. Shelley's thinkin' of goin' into journalism and Amy's got some designs on Art School. Fallon... well, honestly, I ain't heard too much about her. Somethin' about work for the government.

Aw hell, look at me go on. Have you heard how your sister's been doin' lately?

Oh, I don't mind at all, Ryan. You can tell me anything you like about your friends.
My sister's been doing really well. She misses Tokyo, though.

That's good to hear. Where is she now, though?

She lives with the...rest of the family in Kyoto now. She says it's not nearly as exciting there.

Man, excitin' ain't always a good thing. I'd rather things be a little boring every now and then, specially with so many folks gettin' into the Hospital Wing lately.

My sister's a little more ...adventurous than I am.
