Un-funked

Sometimes you can feel so melancholy that seeing an amateur production of The Secren Garden with your six-year-old daughter is the only thing that can lift you out of it.

The joy on her face, the beauty of the sets, and the story, and the lighting, had me laughing out loud yet silently crying in the darkness of the theatre.

We left feeling revitalised, full moon overhead, stars just visible through the hazy clouds.
