In more relevant news, I have spent lots of hundreds of dollars on vet things in the last month or so. One of my snakes has a respiratory infection, and I have to give him injections. Which is unpleasant for everyone concerned. He is a carpet python, and it's a little more unnerving than injecting a corn snake. And I dropped $300 on blood tests for Skinny D'Amato yesterday, because he has started having seizures. I should find out today what comes back. But he didn't have one last night, so that's good. Because it is pretty fucking scary when he does.
I have been very much enjoying working at the hotel during the shutdown. It's just me, alone, all night. I've been taking more pictures than I guess the place wants me to, though, because twice now my phone has shut down on the upper floors whilst still at fairly high battery percentages, and refused to turn back on again until I plug it in downstairs. It has never done that at any other time. I am interested to see if it does it again tonight.
I am at Doug's house right now, with Mr. D'Amato along for company and monitoring. I should, in theory, do something useful. Even if that is only continued kitty-snuggling.
