Have read each book at least 3 times (some more than the other) and this immediately made me wanna re-read the Potter series all over again. Thanks CC for sharing. This is so nostalgic. I remember the first time I picked up Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone as a little girl and thought it was yet another magical tale to enchant the imaginative minds of children and to feed their obsession with wands and flying broomsticks. The Potter series is so much more. It made me hungrier and hungrier each time and when Half-blood Prince ended, I was ravenous.

I remember the day Deathly Hallows arrived in Singapore, I rose as early as 8ish and paced around the house with as much patience as speedy gonzales. It was nerve wracking. It was scheduled to arrive at 9 but the corridor was emptier than ever. Anticipation frayed my nerves, along with bouts paranoia as I was strangled by the thought that perhaps I wrote the wrong address.

By 11ish, I was able to breathe normally. The earlier anger and anxiety immediately dissipated the moment the delivery man arrived with the package despite being unapologetic. I held the book in my hands as though it was a 5 thousand year old sacred scripture brought to me by fate. I grazed the cover page with my fingertips and thought to myself, This Is It.

I lived in there for the next couple of days. I never felt more alive.
