Time keeps on slippin...

This week is over? Its the weekend again? Its December? WHAT?! I know I've said this many times before, but this is insane. This year is going by so fast. Its like the speed of light times 23. Yeah. Its like that. ha.

Well yesterday I was driving to work and I smiled. Out of nowhere. I was just driving. And it made me smile. I have no idea what I was thinking about. Could have been cuz I just had a guitar lesson. Could have been cuz of the awesome night I had thursday. Could have been cuz I was planning on doing yoga later that night. I think it was mostly that I just love Redmond. Cuz I was driving on a street that I drive on almost every day. And I just really happened to appreciate it at that moment. The curves and the hills and the trees and everything. There wasn't a lot of that in da ho. Anyway I came to the conclusion that smiling for no apparent reason is simply amazing. You should try it some time.

Oh yeah so maybe you're wondering about thursday night now that I mentioned it. Well I went to Seetle, and thats enough to make it an awesome night. I love Seattle. I love the people. I love the buildings. I love the lights. I love the water. I love it. I especially love the bums on the corners. Damn those guys are cool. If i wasn't going to be an architect, I would definitely be a bum. Definitely. I love seattle even more around Christmas time. There's just somethin about it. Ok anyway I'm digressing. What I was trying to get to was the architecture. I went to meet with Chris at Callison...for my senior project if you haven't been paying attention- I'm doing a job shadow at Callsion Architecture. This was my second time down there. Its amazing. Wow. Such an amazing opportunity. Chris introduced me to a woman who was actually working on a design for a video conference room. It was amazing. I learn so much every time I'm there. And Chris even mentioned an internship. Which is just. Wow. Even if I was scanning and copying or something like that it would be so rewarding. I would love to be working in that evironment. Everyone is so friendly. And it would introduce me to the whole business. And a foot in the door before I even start college. What more could I ask for.

After I met with Chris I hung out with Jake. Always good to see him, especially since it happens so rarely. We went to P.F. Changs and were almost done, ready to pay the bill when our server said "If you don't mind sticking aroudn for a while, the manager wants to offer you dessert on the house." Now that is cool. How often have you gotten dessert on the house? thats what i thought. It drove me crazy though because i wanted to know why. Why? Jake was just like who cares. Free dessert. It was good too. Some fudge thing in raspberry sauce. Now can someone tell me when that became a chinese dessert? Please. I'm really curious.

Last night I went to borders to buy a new yoga tape cuz Sasha and I were tired of the other ones. Ended up checkin out the kama sutra. I was gonna get him a book for his bday. So i go to buy it. I was pumped cuz this is a first for me...and i can't find my debit card. SHIT! anyway i stayed surprisingly calm and collected. we left so i could call the restaurant and the bank if i couldn't find it. I dump everything out of my purse and there it is. Damnit. The best part of buying that book was that kids from the RHS choir were gift wrapping an i was gonna take it down there to have them wrap it after we bought it. Ok well...it woulda been hilarious i swear.

Just woke up today. THis is the first saturday I've had off in a loooong time...oh besides like two saturdays ago but that was for the dinner train/family thing. So that doesn't count. haha. Anyway i caught up on some sleep last night. I have only been sleeping like 5-6 hours every night which is not good for me. Gotta stop stayin up late on school nights. It just feels like...oh well, i'll be tired tomorrow but thats ok cuz its gonna be the weekend before i know it and i'll be able to make it up. That doesn't usually happen though. Well I'm hangin with Jacker today, cuz last Saturday obviously didn't work out. So yeah, should probably get off my ass at some point. Like now.

Remember: Smile for no reason. It's good for you. Like milk. Only milk is good for your bones. Smiling is good for...well not your bones. Well maybe. Maybe everything but your bones. So smile AND drink milk. Because I love you. ~Jaymee
